Privacy Policy

Your trust matters. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to ask us to delete it.

Effective date: May 16, 2026

Heads up: this policy describes our current practices in plain English and is meant to be honest, not exhaustive. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. If you rely on it for compliance, please have your own attorney review it.

Who we are

WashMyT.com ("WashMyT", "we", "us") operates a mobile Tesla car wash service that connects Tesla owners with vetted independent wash professionals ("Wash Pros"). You can reach us any time at team@washmyt.com.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to deliver the service. Specifically:

When you book a wash

  • Contact details — first name, mobile phone number, and email address.
  • Wash details — your Tesla model, color, selected package, requested date and time, and whether you have a water spigot and an electrical outlet available.
  • Service address — street, unit (if any), city, state, and ZIP code where the wash will happen. If you use the Google Places autocomplete, we send your in-progress address text to Google to fetch suggestions.
  • Payment information — handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe returns a token that we associate with your booking.
  • Photos of your wash — your Wash Pro may upload before and after photos as part of completing the job. These are stored in our Supabase storage bucket and may be shown to you in your booking confirmation.

When you communicate with us

  • SMS conversation history — sent and received text messages between you and our team / your Wash Pro via Twilio. Stored so our operators can pick up the conversation where you left off.
  • Emails — booking confirmations and operational replies, delivered via Resend.

When you sign up as a Wash Pro

  • Business name, contact details, address, territory, list of services offered, T-shirt size, scans or photos of your business license and proof of insurance, and signed agreement timestamp.
  • Uploaded documents are stored in our Supabase storage bucket and are accessible only to WashMyT operators.

When you browse the site

  • Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) so we can keep the site reliable and prevent abuse.
  • Analytics — we use Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics and Datafast to understand which pages perform well. These tools may set first-party cookies and collect aggregated, de-identified usage data.
  • Cookies — we set a small number of strictly necessary cookies (e.g. session, admin auth) and the analytics cookies above. We do not currently set third-party advertising cookies.

How we use it

  • To match you with a Wash Pro and fulfill your booking.
  • To send you SMS and email updates about your wash (confirmations, reminders, en-route notifications, completion, receipts, reviews).
  • To process your payment and issue refunds where applicable.
  • To improve the service — for example, to figure out where to recruit more Wash Pros next.
  • To comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, and only when necessary:

  • Your assigned Wash Pro — name, phone, address, wash preferences. Wash Pros sign a Pro Network agreement that restricts them to using this information solely to perform your wash.
  • Stripe, Inc. — payment processing.
  • Twilio, Inc. — SMS delivery.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Supabase — storage for booking records and photos.
  • Google — Places autocomplete API for address lookup; Maps for in-app and admin displays; Analytics.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Law enforcement — only when compelled by a valid legal process or to protect someone's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records, SMS history, photos, and Wash Pro application materials for as long as we need them to provide and improve the service, comply with our tax and accounting obligations, and resolve any disputes. You can ask us to delete your data at any time using the contact options below; in most cases we can delete customer records within 30 days of a verified request, except information we're legally required to retain.

Your choices and rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your data — email team@washmyt.com from the address associated with your booking.
  • Opt out of SMS — reply STOP to any text from us and we'll immediately stop messaging you on that number.
  • Opt out of email — use the unsubscribe link in any non-transactional email or email us directly.
  • Cookies — your browser settings let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break login flows.
  • California, EU, UK residents — you have additional rights under CCPA, GDPR, and UK GDPR (access, portability, restriction, erasure, objection). Email us and we will honor any verified request.

Children

WashMyT is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, please email us and we will delete it.

Security

We use TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our cloud providers, role-based access for our operators, and Stripe-handled card storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information as if it were our own.

International transfers

Our service is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States by us and our service providers.

Changes to this policy

When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, give you a heads-up via SMS or email. Continuing to use WashMyT after a change means you accept the new policy.
